I always compare myself with someone stronger than me. I give myself tasks that are beyond my powers; then I relentlessly move to do that task. I’m a fighter and I love to win. New sources of power open up at extreme moments.
The Sisakan Regiment recently celebrated its 26th anniversary. The regiment has a rich history; it was formed on the basis of volunteer detachments, participated in various military operations. Its founding commander was Hovik Azoyan, an awardee of the Battle Cross 2nd degree medal.
The personnel of the unit under the command of Col Vazgen Hakobyan is lined up on the parade ground. Practical trainings had been held with the troops that are taking combat duty.
In many armies of the world, there are no restrictions to serve for women. The female servicemen of the Armenian Armed Forces are no exception, they perform complex training tasks, serve on the front lines and as part of a special unit.
This combat position is low, in the rocks. Those carrying out service here are conscripts who are extremely experienced. They have also accumulated experience on-site in daily training, and drills.
Artsakh war veteran Sargis Brutyan has 12 children: seven sons and five daughters. His wife, Anahit Hovakimyan, sent seven sons to the army to defend various parts of the front line.
