On the basis of operating in RF since 1993 reserve officers’ organization “Megapir”, in 2011 “Onternational Consultative Council” (OCC) was founded with 16 member-states, including Armenia.

Armenian Apostolic Church’s Shirak diocese leader Ter Michael bishop Ajapahyan on the occasion of the Military Aviation Day received military aviation base staff. He congratulated them with their professional holiday and expressed his confidence that our armed forces will keep our airspace inviolable.

On June 21 the Artsakh war participant, “Liberation Army” detachment’s commander Leonid Azgaldyan’s 20th death anniversary was marked. On this occasion his comrades-in-arms and friends, just citizens laid a wreath on his monument located in the corner of Khorenatsi Street and Mashtots Avenue, visited his grave, after that a celebration in honour of L.Azgaldyan was held in “Moscow” cinema, the film “Soil’s Colour” was screened made in his memory which starts with the following words: “This is Armenia, it is the size which I can easily place in my heart”.

A shooting training dedicated to the RA AF 20th anniversary was organized in the 5th army corps firing ground by the patriotic NGO “Armenian Eagles”. Besides members of the organization’s 200 branches, representatives of mass media also participated.

On the initiative of RA MOD and disabled persons NGO “Satar” basketball players “Bazeh” and “Artsiv” teams meeting-show was organized in MOD administrative complex’s playing grounds.
As mentioned Gagik Danielyan, liberation war participant, NGO-s executive director, “Satar” was created in January, 2012 on the initiative of Artsakh war participants and servicemen-1st group disabled.

On May 25 the Last Bell Day was celebrated in the republic. It was celebrated also in RA MOD Military-Sports College after Monteh Melkonyan. On the solemn ceremony of the graduates Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, high-ranking officers, guests, parents were present.

On May 24, 14 Yezidi-Karabakh war participants were awarded with “20-th anniversary of Armenian Army” Jubilee medals by the RA Ministry of Defense.
According to Chairman of the Yezidis Union Aziz Tamoyan, “Yezidis are age-old friends of the Armenian nation. It was our duty to participate in the movement in the name of our country, our friendship, which has deep roots. Our war hasn’t finished yet. If needed, we’ll again fight for Artsakh”.
