MISSIVE OF DEFENSE MINISTER SEYRAN OHANYAN ON THE OCCASION OF THE 1ST OF SEPTEMBER

The Day of knowledge is one of the most important and cherished holidays for our people.
“Schools are natural lines of fortifications “- once said one of our elders. For me and for each soldier the classroom is tomorrow’s platoon, the school – tomorrow’s large regiment, i.e. today’s schoolchild is the tomorrow of the Armenian army and eventually the army is the continuation of the school.

JOLLY BUS

The bus is racing to Yerevan. Besides students, accompanying them their parents, tourists, there are also soldiers, encouraged with additional holiday, who are going to the capital. They are accompanied with battalion deputy head. They actively talk about everything. Passengers intervene, ask about the situation on the border, about the food … And then suddenly it turns out that today is the birthday of senior sergeant Khachatur Avetisyan, it is his 20th anniversary.

THREE GENERATIONS - PROTECTING THE FATHERLAND

The only son of Colonel Ashot Sargsyan, who is the son of Lieutenant General Muraz Sargsyan, continues family tradition and will soon be wearing his first cadet uniform.

MEMORIAL TO THE PERISHED BRAVE…

Barekamavan is the last Armenian village of the North-East district of Armenian, which is surrounded by Azerbaijani villages.
Using this, the Azerbaijanis repeatedly undertook all sorts of abuse, making Barekamavan constant target. Barekamavan survived many critical moments, and by the blood of its sons it protected and preserved the land inherited from ancestors.

On August 15, RA Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan met with the representatives of almost 130 NGO-s which unite warriors-liberators, as well as cooperate with the RA MoD. During the meeting issues both on expanding MoD-NGO cooperation and joint work were discussed.

I AM READY!

I’ve heard many stories about service in the army and I know – life on the border is not so peaceful. I know that soldiers start their day on the border with prayer and end it also with it. I know that pressed to their breasts weapons at any time can fire. I haven’t served yet but I’m already mentally ready for it.

We, Council of “Midia-Shangal” national NGO, its members and living in Armenia Yezids, express our condolences to relatives of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the heroic battles of the last days with Azeri subversive groups and bow to their graves. Thank God, our army successfully completed the tasks put before, and our glorious soldiers showed examples of devotion and loyalty, courage and bravery!
