IN THE MEMORY OF LEGENDARY GUAY

On February 17th The Veterans’ Union of Armenia celebrated the 125th anniversary of Armenian military commander, military man and military theorist, 1918-1920 Civil War hero Hayk Bezheshkyants – legendary Guay. Veterans of the Great Patriotic War, schoolchildren and teachers of the school after Guay participated in the function. In the solemn session head of Veterans Union’s Council Colonel Simon Yesayan gave a speech. He told about Guay’s battle path. LIFE AS IT IS

My films raise questions without obliging prescription, answers. We must find the answer ourselves, each of us our own answer. In America after the show of the film “White Town” (the film is about Akhalkalak), two Armenians were talking while walking out of the hall. One of them complained: “It’s not difficult at all. If I turn the camera over the town, I will make such a film.” I was glad of that estimation. In fact, everything has been so real, so natural that the producer’s work has remained unnoticed while the film has been gathered detail by detail. I want to mention that the film “White Town” was shown in different foreign countries and it successfully took part in international festivals.

IN THE SOURCES OF ARMENIAN MUSIC

Culture also needs devoted men; culture also needs patriots who will do everything to reestablish the old traditions and standards. Besides losing so many territories we have also had many losses in cultural values. We have become victims of barbarism, but we have always struggled for our rights with dignity and in a cultured way, we haven’t repeated the handwriting of the barbarians; we have won them due to our talent, endowments and at the same time we have created ever-lasting values. We also need devoted soldiers in the field of culture; we need patriotic, strong, self-sacrificing soldiers like the ones who are standing in the front; we need them if we want the gates of our cultural inheritance to be as strong as the borders of our fatherland Armenia.

I AM A PARTICLE OF OUR NATURE

He is the hero of the history. I admire the soldier who keeps the border of my country. Fighting for the fatherland is the greatest heroic deed that a man can do. I would fight for my fatherland, I would certainly fight. The victory of the war of Artsakh is the most important event of the Armenian newest history; it is the victory of the soldier, the victory of the warrior, the protector of the fatherland. We must appreciate the work of the soldier. I am very much thankful and grateful to the soldier.

I AM PROUD OF OUR ARMY

Jazz is an art of improvisation. The main theme can last 10 minutes, it can summarize a few notes, all the rest is an improvisation, it’s a feeling of a moment, and it’s a sensation, saying. Jazz brings freedom, it has no limitations, no rules; the same theme can become a basis of new improvisations several times, it depends on what feeling you have inside your soul. Jazz can’t stand falsification, false emotions, because there can be no improvisation without true values, without a saying. Jazz can’t stand mediocre as a man can be taught everything but improvisation. It’s an innate talent which is manifested not only in music but also in all the relations of life.
