WITH SOLDIER… THE WHOLE LIFE

Arayik Alaverdyan, Lt.Colonel

I was born in the village of Aznek, Askeran region. We can say that normally I could not study, because it was the most difficult period of the war. My friends and I ran away from home, want to fight, but we were told: “You are still young, the war is not your case, wait”.

In 1994 me and my comrades turned 17 and we were called to the training center named after General Christaphor Ivanyan. How proud we were! Cease-fire was signed, and we were left to serve in the Ivanyan Center. Then there was a shortage of officer cadres, and after a 14-month service officers were selected from the conscripts. I was also in that group.

…It is already 21 years that I am in military service. The whole day of the front line officer is with the troops. My main task is the combat training. The last stage of training we completed with a good result.
