RA AF MEDIC-OFFICERS WILL LEAVE FOR BUDAPEST FOR RETRAINING



On October 3-8 a Conference was organized by the USA State Secretariat in Washington dedicated to the problems of medical protection during NATO operations. All the NATO member-countries, as well as Macedonia, Serbia, Austria, Switzerland and Armenia took part in the Conference. Armenia was presented by Colonel A.Parsadanyan, head of Military-Medical Department of RA MOD and Lieutenant Colonel M.Vardanyan, head of Division.

“During the Conference we listened to a report on the work of the medical service in Afghanistan in 2011 and on its current situation. The issue on creation of a multinational medical protection group was discussed, too. After its formation it will be sent to Libya”, – told Colonel A.Parsadanyan.

He informed also that on the results of the Conference it was agreed to send RA AF medic-officers to the Medics Upgrading Centre in Budapest for retraining.
