COMMANDER ANDRANIK’S SCISSORS



On February 25th it is the 148th birth anniversary of great Armenian commander Andranik Ozanyan. On this occasion the Directorate of Commander’s Museum declared expositions competition. The first prize was given to Robert Haroutyunyan, 6th form pupil of school no. 156. He wrote the story about scissors which he heard from his grandmother Nadya.

Museum Directoe Georgette Beglaryan told that in October, 2011 the personal scissors of the Commander were presented to the Museum by the grand-grandchildren of Talvorik Prince Hamzeh from Sassoun. In the Museum there are many personal belongings of the Commander, among them his pipe, sword, documents, letters, orders etc.

Each year the Museum has from 17 to 20 thousand visitors – schoolchildren, foreigners, Armenians from abroad.
