ARMY IMPLEMENTS ITS TASK

On July 17th during the RA Government’s meeting Prime-Minister Hovick Abrahamyan suggested Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan to report about the developments on the territory of Karvachar in Nagorno-Karabakh.
The Minister particularly said that after signing the ceasefire agreement in 1994, because of the Azerbaijani Republic’s conducted policy periodically there was tension on the front line, on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic because of snipers’ shootings, subversive intelligence actions.

WE’LL WIN WITH MINIMAL LOSSES

We never deceived our people and said that the war could start at any moment. We have implemented measures to ensure the security and livelihoods of the civilian population. Government agencies are also prepared, they have developed a special program of action.

FRUITS OF PREVENTIVE WORK

In the regiments which are under our service, in 2013, compared to 2012, cases of all types of offenses decreased by 26%. In particular, AWOL cases decreased by 45%, cases containing the criminal element – 3%. Serious crimes were not there. During the reporting period previously undisclosed (hidden) 21 cases have been disclosed, among them – illegal use of electricity, misappropriation of fuel, theft of military property, cases of soldier abuse.

OFFENSE - DUE TO IGNORANCE

Fight against street manners in the army should be implemented in all military echelons, but much more important is the participation of junior officers in this process.
According to sergeants’ majority, there is no need for military police to intervene in all matters within the military unit, since it creates atmosphere of fear, tension. This, of course, is only for those cases which do not contain an element of an offense or crime.

STORM IN A TEACUP

Recently the French company Airbus Defence and Space commissioned by the company Azerkosmos withdrew a satellite into orbit. As Minister of communication and high technologies of Azerbaijan Ali Abasov informed, satellite SPOT-7 is designed to explore the earth’s surface, it will give the opportunity to get high quality and clear images.
