ON DUTY: SERVICE FEATURES

Accompanied by Majors V.Stepanyana and G.Palanduzyana we climb on combat post, where there are conscripts.

– Military training is always accompanied by the lessons of combat training. Through historical episodes we introduce a soldier with the tactics of our ancestors, how to win with small number and appliances – says Major V.Stepanyan.

Officers every day talk about Genocide, and this is done with a clear goal – to get rid of victim complex. Here is a comparison: in 1915, 8 million Turks committed genocide in relation to the 3 million of our fellow citizens, and during the Artsakh war was the same size – 3 mln Armenians against 7 mln Azerbaijanis, and we were able to win.

The main task of the military command is the implementation of secure alerting, and that we manage. After the enemy’s sabotage invasion attempt on 23 January, when, unfortunately, two of our soldiers were killed, losses of the enemy have been several times more. Only in this way we can instill fear into the enemy. Soldier Mkhitaryan brought out of the fire soldier Avanesyan, provided the first medical aid, and then with his machine gun opened fire in the direction of the enemy. And today Mkhitaryan carries out his service in the line of duty.

…In the line of duty, we are met by platoon deputy commander sergeant A.Melkonyan. With him we go to the trenches, and he introduces us with soldiers G.Smbulyan, A.Sargsyan, M.Pashinyan, G.Ghazaryan, A.Hambardzumyan, N.Sargsyan.

Accompanying us officers commendably speak of Melkonian, who spent his military service in this border area, and after the service, after the sergeants’ courses he is here again. He wants to become an officer. He is hardworking and very responsible.

We go ahead, meet observer N.Sargsyan. He reports that the situation is under control, changes in the positions of the enemy were not observed.

– What we study in the classroom, Training Ground, on duty we see it with our own eyes, and every day there is something to learn. And maybe some of us, like Arman Melkonyan, after military service will want to continue to serve – say the guys.
