WRITE TO A SOLDIER, HE NEEDS YOUR ATTENTION

American psychologist, PhD, Professor Norman Copeland in his book “Psychology and soldier” (the first time was published in 1942.) refers to a very important issue in military psychology – the psychological preparation of a soldier, without which even physically well-trained army is doomed to failure. One of the great generals of the world, Napoleon, often emphasized that the spiritual power to the physical correlates as 3 : 1.

And in reality, what needs soldier, what can leave a deep impact on the psychology of the soldier, what can inspire and push the soldier on a brave act?

Of course, answers can be different. However, one thing is common to all soldiers – that is a letter from the parents, relatives, beloved, this ordinary piece of paper with a lot of warmth and love. Soldiers will suffer if he loses this letter, nothing to him is as valuable as a letter from home. In moments of frustration, such moments can be during the service, while yearning this ordinary letter raises his mood, and in a moment of desperation makes him fight to the end.
