Major Khoren Mkrtchyan is heading the mortar division of the regiment under the command of Lt.Colonel S.Minasyan. This is an important sub-unit, and to become its commander it is not enough to have high professional preparation, be a disciplined and educated officer, you must also dedicate yourself fully to your work.

The young officer who performed his duties and specified tasks, very soon was entrusted with the post of commander of division, and after a short time he was sent to the Military Institute after Vazgen Sargsyan to participate in the Staff Heads’ Courses at the Centre of Excellence Officers. After completing the courses with high results he continues his service already as a Captain.

He, who serves on the border, absolutely has no right for mistake, and this understand very well both the officers and soldiers.
