TOWARDS MILITARY TRAININGS

In the RA MOD general firing ground subunits of CSTO Collective Forces of Rapid Reaction are awaited which will participate in the military trainings “Cooperation-2012”. The best traditions of the Armenian hospitality have been observed also in the sphere of military cooperation: comfortable conditions are arranged for the participants in the fields not only for operational trainings but also for everyday life.

COMFORT IN FIELD CONDITIONS

The climate conditions of the firing ground request to pay more attention to water. Now there is permanent water there. Specialists strictly control the composition of water, at least twice a week they do laboratory analysis. During the trainings bottled water will be supplied.

Two bathhouses operate every day, says camp’s medical service head, Deputy Head of Military-Medical Department Colonel P.Manoukyan. Field toilets have also water supply. Soldiers’ food and its security are also under control.

The structure of the camp is: tent-quarters, tent-classes, working and leisure rooms, watchbox, first-aid post, canteen, bathroom, laundry. A few days ago construction of the sport ground and drill ground’s asphalting were completed.

ORGANIZED EXCELLENTLY

Because of big volume of work, to the order of the RA AF GS Head an administration of the camp has been appointed which consists of camp’s head, his deputy, head of staff, heads of the home front, communication and arming.

It is worth mentioning that both in the camps administration and CSTO CFRR Armenian military group the best specialists, skillful officers and the most battleworthy subunits of the national army have been included (this was also stated by RA Defense Minister S.Ohanyan).

As camps head, Head of RA AF GS Troops Service & Military Service Security Support Department Colonel H.Karapetyan mentioned, the main duty of the administration is guaranteeing troops’ activities and internal discipline. These all are implemented according to the order of day, confirmed by the AF GS Head: wakeup at 7:00, then physical training, breakfast and field training. Because of hot weather field trainings are done in 2 stages: till 13:00 (then lunch and rest) and from 17:00 till 20:00.

Two fire brigades are permanently on duty in the campus. There are also freelance fire groups.

Since the climate is favourable for snakes, scorpions and poisonous insects the staff is instructed in detail on how to avoid bites and if needed to give first aid.

According to Head of camp’s medical service Colonel P.Manoukyan, there are no servicemen with serious illnesses. Aid station is fully equipped with necessary medicines, equipment, it has two cars on duty, and during the military trainings resuscitation van with its staff will be there, too. Medical staff consists of a surgeon, traumatologist, therapeutist and epidemiologist.

The camp’s administration is supported by firing ground’s command headed by its head Lt. Colonel Levon Galstyan.

WILL BE CONCLUDED ON TIME

By August 28 working-rooms for military-political authorities and higher command of CSTA member-states were ready, conference-hall was renovated, video-presentation system has been installed in the hall for observers.

Major Andranik Margaryan said that take-off square for helicopters is going to be completed. When asked – would they manage to complete works before the trainings? – he replied with confidence – undoubtedly!
