Though the Armenian nation has big services in creation and development of USSR Air Forces, nevertheless after the collapse of the empire Armenia got almost nothing. That’s why the Armenian specialists began to develop their own arms. They got helicopters and planes, set up a school for pilots and specialists preparation – Flight College. The first representatives of the newly created regiments participated in military operations and had their own merit in the defense of our country’s borders.

After the ceasefire in 1994 the development of the military aviation got a new impetus.

The last three years on the results of operational training the regiments under the command of Colonel Samvel Sianosyan and Lt. Colonel Armen Nersesyan always show good results.
