STRONG MEN’S BATTLE CONTINUES



Lance sergeant Roubick Mikayelyan, account commander of the regiment after Armenian Tamanian Division, is one of the 9 Armenian men whose personal achievements are registered in the Guinness Book of Records.

Roubik who is a sambo wrestler and was called up for military service last spring after graduating from the State Institute of Physical Training, on September 21, 2011, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of independence of RA, in the lying position did 6500 abdomen presses. On January 28th, the day of 20th anniversary of formation of the national army, he surpassed his record and in 4 hours 35 minutes did 7550 presses.

Head of Uncommon Motional Activity Commission of Armenia Vardan Tovmasyan told that this record very soon will be registered in the Armenian records book – Book of Strong Men, and the videomaterial will be sent to London, to the coordinator-commission of Guinness records.

In the end of the function lance sergeant Roubick Mikayelyan stated that till the end of the service he is planning to increase his record till 10000.
